<p>3 cans diced tomatoes<br />
2 jalepeno, diced<br />
1 clove garlic, smashed<br />
2 tsp. salt<br />
1 bunch cilantro, coarsely chopped<br />
3 green onions, chopped</p>
<p>&#8211;Place greens and garlic in the bottom of a food processor or a blender, then the tomatoes and salt. Blend in quick bursts until greens are incorporated into tomatoes.</p></blockquote>

<p>My name is Nora Shank and I am a registered dietitian living in Arizona.</p>
<p>After four years of teaching nutrition in the community, to my friends and to my family, I realized that there is such a need for simplified nutrition information.This is a blog devoted to the need for nutritious information and recipes from a trusted source.</p>
<p>The truth about nutrition is this: you need to eat MORE! Not just any food but the three key ingredients to a healthy diet.</p>
<p>I like to use the idea of a three-legged stool. A healthy lifestyle is about balance: medical care, physical activity and nutrition. In nutrition, there are also a natural balance of three key players: carbohydrates, proteins and fats.</p>
<p>Here&#8217;s where most people get tripped up. <em>How much protein? What kinds of fats? What foods should I eat? How do I cook that? </em>Yes. I understand. This is why I believe we can simplify nutrition even further.</p>
<p>A &#8220;diet&#8221; isn&#8217;t about eating less. It&#8217;s about eating MORE. Imagine a &#8220;diet&#8221; where you were so full and satisfied that you didn&#8217;t have room for anything else. The three types of foods you should eat more of are:</p>
<p>1) Fruits and Vegetables<br />
2) Whole Grains<br />
3) Healthy Oils</p>
<p>This blog is dedicated to making that easy to do. It isn&#8217;t about knowing you should eat more of these foods. It&#8217;s about acutally eating them. Let&#8217;s discover how to do that together.</p>
